Hard decisions

Today I made the hard decision to stay home and work, even though I wanted to go ride my horse.

So far I'm pretty glad I did.  I've gotten a lot done so far, and I even have a little more time before I have to pick up the kids from school.  If I can get enough done today, I may even make it up to myself by going to the barn tomorrow morning instead.

My goals for the rest of the day are to:

• Write a couple of blog posts
• Finish an email to a potential client
• Write a few more client posts
• Start working on a rewrite of my website

My website is desperately in need of an overhaul.  After much thought, I have decided to keep the current template and just make a few minor coding adjustments that it needs.  The pages need to be totally rewritten, and soon.  I should have done it first, since my portfolio links are outdated, but I didn't have the luxury of waiting to look for work.

Unfortunately I don't have time to finish all this before picking up the kids I nanny for, so it will spill over a little into this evening.  But that's okay, as I've been finding my evenings to be very productive lately.  I am seriously rethinking my original plan of doing all my work during the day!
