My funky schedule

Ever since staying up all night last Tuesday to finish my article, then sleeping all day on Wednesday, my schedule has been extremely... funky, for lack of a better word.

I've been consistently going to bed between 3:00 and 5:00 am every night. There have been a few days where I slept until early afternoon, one day where I got up at 8:30, and the rest of the days I've slept until about noon.

It's good in some ways, because I am at my most productive between midnight and 4:00 am. But it's also exceedingly difficult to do "normal" things (like spend weekends with Michael, meet friends for lunch, and spend time at the barn without that being my entire day) with that kind of a schedule.

Which should I sacrifice: my productivity, or my social life?

(Maybe you shouldn't answer that. I'm not sure I want to hear the answer.)

Reminds me of something I just read in a book - "There's nothing like a good night's sleep and that was nothing like it." :))

I wish I could do it your way. I'm toast by 8 pm these days.

Trust me, getting up at 1pm helps with that... ;o)

You know, ideally, my natural body rhythms align better with yours. I'm at my most alert and focused in the evening onward. Unfortunately, the rest of the world and all its complications don't afford me the luxury of heeding my body's call. That said, I total understand your dilemma.

Nice to know I'm not the only one, Kathy. I have even more respect for you now, knowing that you tend toward a similar schedule but still manage to keep yourself on a "regular" schedule. The only thing that gets me up early these days is Michael waking me up -- and sometimes even that doesn't work!
