Last week was a good week -- for the most part. I've discovered that my daily writing goals usually fall apart toward the end of the week -- Thursday I have my riding lesson and Friday I often have other things going on; last week it was lunch with my mom -- though sometimes I am able to get a little done over the weekend. But as of last week I am back on track with two goals, my novel and my 2013 reading list, which is a step in the right direction.
1. Novels: I worked on my novel every day last week from Monday through Thursday. On Thursday I did very little -- only revised a single page -- but hey, a page is a page! Nothing over the weekend, which was fairly busy.
2. Blogs and websites: No progress here yet. I really want to get at least one of my blogs revamped before summer, because once the kids are out of school I won't have much time. I don't have time this week, but perhaps I can make this a goal for the rest of May.
3. Other writing projects: No progress here. This may have to wait until after summer...
4. Books: I am back on track with reading Les Miserables. It's such a long and meandering book, though, that I foresee taking breaks a couple more times to read other things.
5. Horses: Other than my Thursday lesson/training session with Rondo, and V.'s Thursday lesson on Panama, the horses didn't get ridden last week. (We skipped her practice ride on Friday to go shopping for show clothes for her.) I am out there every day still to give Panama his bonus meal and anti-ulcer medication, but that takes up a lot of time that could be spent on other things that I need to be getting done, and the end result is that I usually don't feel like I have time to ride, too. That's okay -- it sure doesn't hurt to give Panama the time off, and Rondo will survive it too!
So that was last week! This week has gotten off to a rocky start, but hopefully I can stay on track. I am still debating whether to continue to make these posts weekly, or switch to monthly -- since we are starting May, now would be a good time to switch if that's what I decide to do!
