This week marks the halfway point through summer, if you don't count
the week off I have while the family I work for is on vacation. And boy, am I feeling it! Just like on "hump day" halfway between Monday and Friday, I'm dragging.
I've been working a lot of hours this week, and although the weeks go
quickly in retrospect, I feel like I'm too busy. I have that feeling
like I'm just treading water and waiting for summer to end, so I can get
on with the business of swimming.
It's been a
crazy-busy summer so far -- if you haven't guessed by my lack of posts.
Darn it! I was just getting the hang of blogging more often again,
when my summer schedule had to come along and ruin it. The last time I
posted was just after the kids got out of school, at the very beginning of summer.
I've also been freelancing a little again, though, which is good news. More on that later.
Unfortunately,
my summer schedule has taken the biggest toll on Camp NaNoWriMo.
Tomorrow is the halfway point, and I still haven't so much as opened my
novel's project in Scrivener!
But during hump week, all
possibilities are still in the running. I am hoping to get started on
my novel this week, since I am working fewer hours while the kids are in
all-day camps, and next week, when the family I work for is out of
town.
Wish me luck!
