Kindle Deals in the Prime Early Access Sale

Please note that the deals in this post are affiliate links.  As an Amazon Affiliate, I earn small kickbacks on sales made through these links.

I'm not usually a big shopper on Prime Days.  I find that many of the sales on Prime Day aren't things that I'm interested in.  Sometimes the deals are something I wanted anyway, though, so they're worth buying.

My Kindle is probably the best Prime Day purchase I ever made.  I got it a couple years ago as a certified refurbished device and I've been using it ever since.  It's an older black and white style Kindle with a front light, predating the Paperwhite, so it's a little older.  But I love it!  It's lightweight and goes everywhere with me in my purse, and Amazon now makes it easier than ever to sideload books onto their devices.  For PDF or epub files, I just have to email the file to my Kindle's address.  For library books, I check the ebook out and then my library sends me to Amazon to get the book.

I'm even planning on doing some light revisions on my novel using my Kindle to read through it.

For those not sure yet about ebooks, I've been reading almost exclusively on devices for probably about 15 years now.  There are things I love and miss about books, but they just don't outweigh (well, technically they do) the benefits.  I love the convenience of being able to carry a small device with me instead of a book, or honestly being able to have all my books with me, so if I finish one I can start any one I want next.  And the Kindle of course weighs far less than hardbacks (even less than most paperbacks, and you can change the font size to whatever you want, and so on and so forth.  And they make library lending sooo easy - no more trips to the library or needing to return a book on time.  There are so many reasons to love ebooks.

In any case, I see some really great deals on Kindle in the Prime Early Access sale.  There's even a basic Kindle Paperwhite on sale for $100, which is about as good as you can get.  I can't quite bring myself to buy a new one when my old one works fine (not to mention, I already have a stack of old e-readers I no longer use), but when it comes time to get a new Kindle, I'll probably look for a deal like these.

If you're not as much into the Kindle deals, there are a lot of other gadgets too, including Echo devices (I want that panda!) and Ring systems.  I have Echo Dots throughout my house and use them for background music, focus timers, white noise, alarms, and a bunch of other things.

Do you shop Amazon Prime Days?  Are you planning on taking advantage of any of these deals?
